For many, midsummer is the most important holiday in the Swedish calendar. The key to celebrating midsummer is being outdoors - whether it be in public parks, gardens, fields or Skansen. The addition of a flower or two in your hair always helps to get into the spirit too.
Midsummer eve is always a Friday between 19 and 25 June. People will often begin the day by picking flowers and making wreaths to place on the maypole - a traditional and important component to the celebrations. For many locals, midsummer celebrations are the kick-start to a five week annual holiday amongst a relatively short lived summer season.
To join in on the occasion, we at Evans Lichfield have collated some of our favourite scandi cushions. As is tradition, we have also included a variety of our floral cushions. To view the full collection, shop online today.
